Bran Castle
Bran Castle (Castelul Bran in Romanian) It is an imposing 14th century hilltop castle. You need to see it as it is one of the most famous castles in the world usually known for the myth of Dracula. The Irish writer Bram Stoker gave birth to the Dracula myth with his famous novel. He he did not seed it here (the castle description in the novel does not match, just the area Transylvania). The connection between Dracula and Vlad Tepes (Vlad the Impaler) is due to the American movies based on Stoker's novel. It is located in the Bran commune, on the Rucar-Bran passage, in Brasov county, in the Transylvania region of Romania. It is bordering on Piatra Craiului National Park and Bucegi Natural Park. You can get there by road (DN73) or train to Brasov and then by road or by plane to Bucharest, then Brasov and then Bran.
